Haha lol I agree the beginning gives off the feeling it's gonna be bland and dry, glad I listened past the first minute XD Maybe try cutting out the beginning rise entirely, and adding just a few seconds to before it really kicks off. Nice song though!
I can honestly say I enjoy this piece, the only thing which bugs me is the repetitive piano key after 2:00 and before 2:30, other than that a very nice song, can't wait to see your skills more refined and developed!

and i wanted to give the piano on that part a melody... but it didnt work out as planned... :P
and without that piano... it feels like its missing something also the dark side connects less with the light side of the song without the piano
